Fun Costumes

I have always loved dressing up, so any chance I have to dress up my children is probably more fun for me than for them!

Here are some costumes that I've made for the kids.

Peter Pan (my first costume)
We were in Russia at the time, so I had to be extra resourceful for material.  This is simply a green sheet and some scrap tan material for the belt.  I used a basic short and t-shirt pattern from a book.  My friend gave me advice on the hat.  In Russia all the kids wear tights in the winter, so we had some already.

Duck Costume
Simplicity 2788 with some modifications for ease of dressing my wiggly daughter
(I only have this pattern in size 1 because I bought it used, and some of the pieces were cut to that size already.)

King Josiah (or any king, really)
no pattern, just got some material from curtains at Goodwill
Crown was a visor in the craft section at Walmart
Jewels also from the craft section at Walmart

Pricing for costumes varies depending on the costume and needs.  I don't keep a supply of costume patterns, and often costumes require special types of material and notions that I don't keep on hand.  But if you need a costume, I'd love to make it for you!  Contact me, and we'll get things started.
